About Us
Golden Direct Media was founded in 2021 by DRTV industry veteran Shannon Nelson. Shannon had an opportunity to support clients in generating leads and to support stations fulfilling unsold inventory. With the encouragement of many seasoned DRTV professionals, Golden Direct Media was established. It was Golden day! (Fun Fact: Golden Direct Media and Shannon share a birthday)
Shannon has been in the advertising industry for over 25 years. Prior to Golden Direct Media, she joined REVShare in 2008, holding positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Senior Vice President of Sales. In 2016 REVShare was acquired by Cannella Media where Shannon held the position of SVP, Short Form CPA. In the earlier years of her advertising career, in 2007 Shannon was the Director of Client Services at DirectAvenue. From 1999 to 2007 Shannon was a Media Buyer at the brand agency Davis Elen in Los Angeles.
